Bella had endured god knows how many long, excruciating hours. Having Alice treat her like Guinna Pig Barbie (yet again) in preparation. In Bella's ideal world, her new family would let her go to outings and parties dressed in casual sweats and t-shirts though sadly, she had no such luck.
Bella mainly kept to herself, listening to the thick tension between Alice and Leah, listening to Renesmee and her adorable way of existing. She didn't really have much to add to any of the small conversations going on so instead chose to keep to herself. That is, until Jacob opened his mouth.
Shooting him a glare, Bella crossed her arms over her chest in obvious dislike at the attention she was getting. She despised being forced into expensive clothes, make up and coated in hairspray though it kept Alice happy, so she usually obliged. Now, she had her best friend trying not to laugh in her face.
Letting out a deep sigh, Bella shook her head. "It's not my fault Alice has never had a real doll before. You'd think someone would just buy her one and let me escape her wrath one of these times..."

"Hey Bella, I do have dolls, I just practice on them though. Its a shame that YOU never had any dolls though, it would make your sense of style much better." Alice teased her sister-in-law. Alice was excruciatingly bored, and the only thing that kept her from dying of bordom was searching the future for possible outcomes of the evening. It was rather hard because Leah, Jacob, and Renesmee were blocking her vision, so she could only see limited, 1 or two second blurs of the future. She saw more arguing and more fun ahead. "Edward, you agree with me, right? Bella does look extremly beautiful tonight, and her clothes are very flattering. No one can deny that." Alice finally said, after an awkward sicence.

"Yummy," Nessie said taking the puffy white marshmallow that Seth offered to her. Giggling, she stuffed it in her mouth. She smiled at Seth while she ate it. "That's real good!" she told Seth after eating it. Renesmee smiled. She was having a lot of fun already.

Leah laughed as Nessie stuffed the marshmallow in her mouth. She had to admit, Nessie was growing on her. The proud look on Seth's face when Nessie said "Yummy!" made laugh even harder.
Leah picked up bits and pieces of Alice and Bella's conversation. You didn't have to be a rocket scientist to know that things weren't going well. As a dress for comfort girl her self, she inwardly shuddered at the thought of being a living doll for someone to make over. She could keep her mouth shut, but seeing Bella uncomfortable wasn't worth it. Besides if she stuck up for Bella it would make Jake happy, right?
"Bella looks gorgeous." She said. "But it's a bonfire, right? She's going to get her clothes dirty. Plus goodness knows how long we'll be here and she might get uncomfortable, right Bella?" She bit her lip, not quite believing she was about to say this. "I have some spare clothes that'll fit you. Might be a bit big, though."
She sat back, waiting for the answer and/ or the possible blow up.

Jacob was adoring everyhing. Seth was happy when Nessie was eating the marshmalow. Then just out of the blue Leah stuck up for Bella. " Wow Leah thart was such a generous offer. Hey Nessie I have some ghost stories if you want to hear them?" He asked. He really did think that they all would have a good time weather it killed them or not.

Nessie smiled at everyone. Leah had just said something to Aunt Alice that made Alice a little unhappy, but for the most part, everyone was very happy here. Even with everything going on that wasn't supposed to be. Renesmee didn't know all of what that was about, but she didn't care that much. She'd rather be happy than know all the little details. Jacob asked her if she wanted to hear some ghost stories.
"Ooh! Are they scary ones?" Nessie said. She hoped they weren't too scary for her to be allowed to hear. Nessie wasn't scared that easily. When you were a part of a ghost story, other ghost stories didn't scare you. "Mommy, can I hear the stories?" Renesmee asked hopefully. Curiosity would all but kill her if she couldn't.

Leah sighed. Jacob and his ghost stories. He had tried to tell them to her once, but she wasn't a very good audience. She had seen, and been through too much to be scared by ghost stories.
"Don't tell her the really scary ones," Leah whispered to Jake. "You might give her nightmares. Then Bella would kick your butt." That might be interesting to see, Leah thought. She smiled slightly.

Leah had whispered something to Jake, but Renesmee didn't catch what she said. "I wanna hear the stories Jakey!" she said smiling, "Are there ghosts?" It was ironic that Nessie would be wanting to hear ghost stories. No one here needed ghost stories, they were making them. Renesmee glanced out at the ocean and its waves. They attacked the cliff-side like they were angry at the people up top.

Leah chuckled. "Of course theres ghosts in them Nessie," she said. "Otherwise they wouldn't be ghost stories." She looked around, still surprised that anyone had shown up. Whether it was Seth's doing or they showed up by their own free will, she was grateful. In her own way.
Leah gave Alice a small smile. It must be hard for her, she thought. Can she see anything here? Or is she, well, oblivious to what might happen? Leah sighed. She might as well ask. The idea that something bad could take place and her not being prepared ate at her. Leah walked over to Alice. "Hey Alice," she said quietly. "Can I ask you a question?"
